From 2003 to 2011, Chris Grollnek held several positions within the McKinney Police Department in McKinney, Texas. He began as a Patrol Officer, where he performed community caretaking duties such as preventing crimes, patrol duties, aiding residents, and arresting on-view and wanted persons. He was a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) team for five years and participated in complex operations such as high-risk warrant service and hostage rescue. Chris Grollnek spent time within the department as a Detective, handling undercover operations. As a minimally supervised undercover officer, Chris Grollnek protected the community against illegal narcotics by identifying and apprehending drug dealers. He built a network of over 50 informants and worked closely with prosecutors on federal and state prosecutions. Chris Grollnek finished his career with the McKinney Police Department retiring as a patrol supervisor.
